THE GAME TIMELAPSE

Is a play-by-mail game, play is split into twelve time periods. The game starts in the Bronze Age at about 3000 BC, ending in the present day at 2000 AD.

The idea of the game is to collect enigmas which are parts of your fragmented ship. By moving around the task is collect your enigmas by anyway possible. This may mean just collecting them or stealing or any other way you can think possible. Once enough enigmas have been collected in any time period, reality will go on the blink and a Timelapse will occur.

There is a set amount of enigmas in each time period once all these have been collected by the different players then play moves on (For instance there may be 10 enigmas in your current time period and you have 1 but all the players in the game have collected a total of 10) and a Timelapse occurs and you move on to the next period of time.

You may find more of one type of enigma than you need. These may be bartered/sold to settlements, rulers, or armies. The trick is to stay alive amongst barbarians while you do it. Life will go on around you. Wars will be fought, crops planted, forests cleared, and technology will be developed.

You will need to down load the Playtime software. This software works only on computers running Microsoft Windows 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, and NT 4.0. You may also down load the rulebook and sample TIMELAPSE turns for Playtime from the TIMELAPSE Downloads page.
