Star Empires is a science fiction space opera. The main difference between this game and most others is the map. Most games are based in a 2 dimensional world x and y Star Empires is 3 dimension x y and z so not only do you move left right up and down you also move forward and backwards.

The star ships that you controll are totally designed by you yes there are limitations but only for your protection for instance you dont want a scout ship built like a transporter do you? Its up to you to decide how fast how many weapons, cargo space etc that each of your ships has.

The game is an openended space exploration and colonaisation game with many hurdles to overcome. You start off on your home world with a couple of space craft some resources and people with the aim to explore the surrounding area to find another planet to colonise then loading up your transport ships with personell and supplies and shipping them off to your first conquest easy....

Not so resourses and credits are hard to come by you have to set up trade routes between planets to make enough money to survive build houses for people to live.

Thousands of planets are avaliable for your scout ships to search, and finding the right planet to colonise can be a deadly buisness. With other races trying to fight for the rich pot of gold that lays on the surface. Once you have landed on the surface and housed your people then mining and building can begin building reasurch bases planet defences forces satalites and new spacecraft. Remember there are other players out thier with the same ideas as you so your tactics and statagies can mean the difference between life and death and dont be fooled by alian races they can be just as deadly.
